An environment for working, resting, or exercising, but above all for meeting, sharing, and realizing life projects, both personal and professional. This and much more is what The Babel Community offers, the first French coliving residence, opened in 2017.
Bordeaux, Grenoble, Montpellier, and Paris are some of the cities that now host these places that combine accommodation, coworking, and a wide range of services and leisure activities. Among them, the Ciel Rooftop, an Italian restaurant located on the terrace of the Marseille Vieux-Port residence. Situated on the seventh floor of the building, it is the perfect spot to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city.
And if the aperitif turns into dinner and dusk turns into night, the appropriate lights used to illuminate the evening are signed Creative-Cables.
The project was born out of the need to rethink the lighting of the restaurant's terrace with a safe and reliable product, even when exposed to rain and harsh weather conditions. It is a product that could be wired and versatile, allowing for total customization of the lighting layout, even with very specific requirements.
More light on the tables or above the bar counter and softer atmospheres near the sofas? Every customer's need was listened to, for a tailor-made project that was carefully designed, even starting from the space plan.
In order to create an installation that meets all expectations, we started with Eiva-2, the double outlet socket combining aesthetics and safety, perfect for string lights. Thanks to the special insulating gel it contains and a membrane that tightly surrounds the bulb, this socket has an IP65 protection rating and can easily withstand rain and storms.
One of the most appreciated features by customers is the ability to add lampshades at any time without changing anything in the installation, making it very easy to change the restaurant's style in the future.
More than 100 meters of white outdoor textile cable were used to connect the 65 sockets, which not only blend perfectly with the string lights but also bring timeless elegance to the project. The LED Globo G95 bulbs with curved double-loop filaments provide the warm and natural light sought by the client.
